The beer selection is impressive, but make sure that you drink from the bottle. I got a lipsticked glass with my selection. The food is horrific. The tomato on my burger was ROTTEN. The fries were ice cold. You couldn't get me back into that place for free anything.

This is one of those places that you go to for a beer. The food is secondary and the service is tertiary. The beer selection is second to none for the western burbs.

Palmer Place is one of the most wonderful places to go if you're in the mood to try a wide variety of beer. Their selection is incredible!! They have hundreds of brews to choose from, no joke. They have a list on the table of all of their available brews arranged by country, homebrews and of course the domestics. It's a great place to get educated about the type of beer you're drinking or to just try just one bottle of beer that you've been wanting to try for awhile without committing to the whole 6 pack. Their outdoor beer garden is phenominal!

From my living window, I see the beer garden and enjoy going there. Food is pretty good and service is so-so. It's nice to hang out with friends on a nice summer night and getting tanked...lol!

I frequent Palmer's and live close so it's easy. It's the best! It's great sitting outside on the roof. Bier garten is sweet. Sometimes there is music outside too. You'll never get a better burger or better selection of beer anywhere.

Visited July 30, 2002, with three hot tired kids after several hours at the zoo and this place was a BIG hit with everyone. The 35 beers on tap included a lot of standard stuff but it was nice to find Paulner Weisse and some others. No Three Floyds or other local/regional micros. Hundreds of bottled beers included Bell's, Capital, Dogfish, Ommegang, Summit, Two Bros. The food and service were very good and kid friendly. This will become a regular stop.

Excellent beer selection, very good choice of tap beers and ales, however I found not all available. My first selection of Anchor Steam was out, the Double Diamond was OK but not exceptionally fresh, the Young's was very good, etc. Bottle selection is second to none, and would serve most ale lover's choice, Belgians (including Rodenbach Grand Cru), British (full line of Fuller's and Samuel Smith also John Courage, Thomas Hardy, etc.), German (Ayinger, Erdinger, etc.), some of the best from America (Rogue, etc.) literally hundreds from around the world. Unfortunately the night I was there service was poor, 50 minute wait for food! I will definately try this place out again.
